Annually:
Attend annual fall retreat and present a poster
Present a student research seminar. Advisor and committee members must be in attendance
Meet with advisor and committee members for an annual review meeting. Usually done after the seminar
Complete annual student progress report by student and advisor
Participate in MCSB recruiting activities
Attend one regular departmental seminar series
Participate in ongoing journal club
Year II:
Fall/Spring Semesters
Complete 1st TA assignment
One elective course per semester completes required course work
Choose a committee
Spring Semester
Present student research seminar
Meet with committee members
Submit annual student progress report
Preliminary written exam
Preliminary oral exam
Year III:
Fall/Spring Semesters
Present student research seminar
Meet with committee members
Submit annual student progress report
